Valentino Men Spring 2017
Looks like… Uniform, military, but definitely expensive. Pierpaolo Piccioli and Maria Grazia Chiuri has been championing Valentino’s luxurious heritage with modernity and artistic references. Looking to concepts from the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s “Unfinished: Thoughts Left Visible,” the artistry in these clothes are not too obvious in film – I wish I could touch or see the fabrics move in real life.
Regardless, the collection looks relevant and elaborate – something that Valentino refined through the seasons. I love the military reference and the camouflage. I wonder what’s going to happen once Pierpaolo is left on his own to work on this couture house.
